St. Cecilia is beloved by many for her patronage of music. During her wedding she sang in her heart to God because of a vow to purity she took before her parents forced her into marriage. Her piety ultimately led to her husband’s conversion to Christianity and she spent the rest of her life helping to convert souls by her preaching.
